An intensifier is a special kind of adverbial modifier that indicates an increase in degree of the quality being expressed by the adverb or adjective. In English, too' and very are intensifiers. In Gaelic glè (very) is an intensifier (math "good" --> glè mhath very good) as is "too" and fior "truly"
