Lexical Aspect (Aktionsart) (definition)

Lexical Aspect (Aktionsart) refers to the state of completion of a verb as is inherent in the meaning of the expression. For example, the action of eating an apple is complete when the apple is eaten. The action of killing is lexically completed when the killed party is dead. etc.
